Tata Altroz: Variants, Engine Specs, and Features


The Tata Altroz is available in seven different variants: XE, XE+, XM+, XT, XZ, XZ (O), and XZ+. The Dark Edition is available on trims XT and above, while the CNG powertrain can be purchased with six variants: XE, XM+, XM+ (S), XZ, XZ+(S) and XZ+ O (S). The petrol and diesel variants offer a boot space of 345 litres, while the CNG variants have a boot space of 210 litres.


The Altroz comes with three engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit (86PS/113Nm), a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (110PS/140Nm), and a 1.5-litre diesel (90PS/200Nm). All three engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while the naturally aspirated petrol engine also comes with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The CNG variants are powered by the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, producing 73.5PS and 103Nm.


The Altroz has claimed mileage figures of 19.33kmpl for the petrol variant, 23.60kmpl for the diesel variant, and 18.5kmpl for the turbo variant. The features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech, a semi-digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, and cruise control. Tata also offers multiple customisation options for the Altroz, and the CNG variant comes with a sunroof.


On the safety front, the Altroz comes with dual front airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, auto park lock (DCT only), and rear parking sensors.
