Honda Activa 7G: Expected Launch and Upgrades

 Honda is all set to launch its new scooter, the Activa 7G, in India in May 2023, with an expected price range of ₹ 80,000 to ₹ 90,000. It will be the successor to the popular Activa 6G 110cc scooter and is expected to come with several upgrades. The Activa 7G will be available in multiple variants and colour options, similar to its predecessor.


On the styling front, the Activa 7G is likely to retain the design of the existing 6G model, but with updated body panels and chrome elements. The Activa 6G is currently available in six colours, and the company also offers a limited-edition version.


The Activa 7G will likely retain the 109cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine from the 6G model, which already complies with the latest emission norms. The engine is tuned to make 7.6bhp and 8.8Nm of peak torque on the 6G model, and we expect similar numbers on the Activa 7G. The fuel economy of the Activa 7G is also expected to be similar to the Activa 6G, which delivers around 45-50kmpl and has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres.


The Activa 6G received several upgrades, including an engine start-stop switch, a silent starter, and telescopic forks at the front. The Activa 6G also rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels. We expect similar hardware on the Activa 7G as well.


The Activa 7G will compete with other popular scooters in the Indian market such as the TVS Jupiter (110). Additionally, a similar scooter to the Activa 7G, the Lambretta V125, is set to launch in India in June 2023.
